Lighting

The ambient light is omnipresent light, which is independent of light sources. The ambient light serves to illuminate object parts situated in a shadow. The color (and thereby the intensity, too) of the ambient light can be specified by setting the ambient light element by means of the color constant or compound color components to color. For each object the ambient light reflection can be defined. The default setting of the ambient light is grey light with a brightness of 0.25. The ambient light reflection of individual objects is set to the same value as the diffuse color. If it is necessary to control the ambient light in each object separately, then it can be done by setting the ambient light to full brightness and by setting the color of the ambient light reflection in each object individually.
