The comparison operators are used for comparing numeric terms. As operator parameters one or more numeric terms can be stated, the operator output being a logic value. The operand comparing takes place gradually from the top downwards, each time between two contiguous operands. The comparison operation is satisfied, if the comparison between all comparing operands is satisfied. A special case occurs if only one operand is stated. In this case the operand is compared to zero, i.e. as if the second operand would be a term the value of which is 0.
